Program Description - Foot Certification Program

This is an intensive program and requires each student to complete all assignments. Each course runs for 2 weekends a month for 3 months. Friday from 5-9pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 to 5:00.

Students performance is evaluated each weekend. If a student falls behind they will be required to sign up for tutoring at an additional charge.

Lessons missed need to be made up and are entirely the responsibility of the individual student. The make up lesson will have to be done outside of regular class time at The Center for Universal Reflexology in Cumberland, RI at a rate of $60.00 per one hour session.

The curriculum includes:
  • Basic anatomy and physiology as it relates to reflexology
  • Preparation of practitioner and client
  • Discussions, hands-on demonstration and practice of reflexology techniques for each physiological system
  • Advice on how to obtain the best results
  • Code of ethics and practice
  • Business procedures
  • Clinical-documentation/charting
  • Attitudinal healing and much, much more
During the workshop, students are required to do 80 documented reflexology sessions, (10) per week handed in on Friday of each weekend session.

Students are expected to fulfill the required amount of documented sessions (10 each week) as well as prepare a thesis, which includes 80 additional comprehensive case studies. All potential thesis topics will need to be handed in to the instructor by session 3 for approval.

All students will be required to complete 160 case studies in order to complete the program.

On completion of this course, students are qualified to sit for the national certification examination administered by the American Reflexology Certification Board. Students are encouraged to sit for national certification within one year of completing the program. Exams are available two times a year, usually in May and October.
